What brought you to KPU and your program of study?

A fresh start from a bad previous college experience.

Can you briefly describe your current position and your main day to day responsibilities?

I work for a grocery store and I’m a cashier. I clean and do date checks as well. School, work, home chores, relaxing when I have the time.

Which skills, knowledge, or experiences from KPU have been most valuable in your career so far?

Actually, having the courage to go up to new people and have a conversation with them. I enjoyed both employability skills class and the English class. For the English upgrading class, I learned how to do intent citations which was very hard to learn since it was the first time I had to do that. For the employability skills class I learned what jobs I may want to do and have in the future, just by doing work experience.

What advice would you give current KPU students who want to build a successful career after graduation?

Join activities if you can be open minded, meet new people and try your best.
