What brought you to KPU and your program of study?

After starting off elsewhere, I realized that I was seeking a higher-level interior design program, one that I would be proud to have graduated from. KPU’s IDSN program proved to be a pioneering force that pulls one into directions beyond imagination.

Can you briefly describe your current position and your main day to day responsibilities?

My current role is as managing partner (co-owned with my interior designer sister), responsible for strategy, business operations and development. My day-to-day responsibilities include all non-technical sides of managing and growing our interior design office regionally; from marketing, to finance, to HR, to PR, to legal; pretty much everything related to the business side of things.

Which skills, knowledge, or experiences from KPU have been most valuable in your career so far?

I would definitely say the exposure to all the different industries, experiences owned by professors, and travel-related experience we had to go through as students. Matter of fact, I’m currently writing this on a train from Barcelona to Madrid, after spending the day taking my business partner/sister and niece around the major architectural landmarks we visited with IDSN 9 years ago, and explaining to them all about what we learnt back then.

What advice would you give current KPU students who want to build a successful career after graduation?

Grit and patience. That is all one needs.
